Not-AI, sanity-checked rules

36 honest calculators for a real Pacific trip to Fiji.

Kava quality grading. Tabua gift logic. Beqa Lagoon shark-dive picks. Sevu Sevu protocol. Ciguatera fish risk. Cyclone months. FJD budget with VAT and resort surcharges.

Every tool is rule-based, no LLM, no scraping — so you can sanity-check the math with the sources cited on each page.

Why this site exists

Most "Fiji travel tools" online are six generic widgets (currency, weather, packing list) dressed in palm-tree gradients. We can't fix the web, but we can make something honest: calculators that encode Fiji-specific rules that locals, dive-masters, and Bula-village hosts actually use — not the LLM average of all "Pacific" advice.

Rule-based, not LLM

Each calculation is a deterministic rule from a cited source — VAT 9%, FIEC 4%, cyclone 15%, shark species weights. If a number feels wrong, you can recompute it by hand.

Fiji-first, not Pacific-generic

Beqa Lagoon isn't Bora Bora. Taveuni's Rainbow Reef isn't the GBR. Kava here is the green-root Waka, not the brown-root Tudei sold to tourists.

No tracking, no autoplay, no fake buttons

No analytics fingerprint, no chat pop-ups. The only third-party is Google AdSense — and we tell you exactly where the cookie banner lives.

Each card is a standalone HTML page — no framework, no shared JS, no tracking pixel.

How each tool is built

Same five-block structure on every page so you always know where to look:

  1. 1 · Inputs

A short, opinionated form. We pick the labels locals use, not the labels mediacentre speaks.

  2. 2 · Result

A numeric or categorical output with rule-based math. No LLM guessing.

  3. 3 · How to read

Why this number, what it excludes, what the edge cases are.

  4. 4 · Limits

What this calculator is not for, and the moment you should ask a local.

  5. 5 · Sources

Cited source — government, weather service, or operator's published rate sheet.
