    How to read this

Coral Coast is the "lazy drive south". Queens Road from Nadi (or Denarau) to Pacific Harbour is sealed, two-lane and posted 80 km/h for most of its 220 km. The road is narrow with soft shoulders and frequent one-lane bridges; allow 4 hours of pure driving for the full run, longer if you stop at Sigatoka Market, Sand Dunes or Natadola.

Fuel is cheap. Diesel is FJD 2.95/L, petrol FJD 3.30/L at most service stations (Mobil, Total, Energy Fiji Limited, BP). Petrol sedans burn ~8 L/100 km; 4WDs burn ~12 L/100 km. The full Nadi→Pacific Harbour drive burns ~17.6 L sedan vs ~26.4 L 4WD, or roughly FJD 58–87 in fuel. Round-trip doubles.

Sigatoka Market is a Wednesday-morning institution (technically open daily 06:00–17:00 but the action peaks on Wednesdays). Entry is free. Parking at the adjacent lot is FJD 2 for a sedan, FJD 5 for a 4WD or camper. Bring cash in small notes; most market vendors don't take card.

Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park sits 3 km west of Sigatoka town. Adult entry FJD 10, child FJD 5, plus a FJD 5 guide fee per group if you want to walk past the dunes lookout into the back dune system. Open 08:00–17:00 daily. Allow 90 minutes for the full loop.

Kula Eco Park is 30 km further south, near the Coral Coast resorts. Adult FJD 39, child FJD 19 — the most expensive ticketed stop on the drive. Half-day visit. The "Kids Feed the Iguana" session is FJD 5/person, worth it.

Natadola Beach parking is FJD 5 flat (sedan / 4WD). The beach is free and the surf is good for beginners. Avoid Sundays — locals use the beach.

Accommodation bands are indicative. Budget = FJD 250/night (basic guesthouse, no pool, no A/C), mid-range = FJD 450/night (resort with pool, A/C). Real Coral Coast resorts (Hideaway, Warwick, Outrigger) are FJD 600–1200/night and above what this tool prices.

    FAQ

Is the road sealed all the way?

Yes — Queens Road is sealed from Nadi through Sigatoka, Coral Coast resorts, and on to Pacific Harbour. The shoulders are narrow and soft; pull off completely when stopping for photos.

Can I drive it in a rental sedan?

Yes — sealed road, posted 80 km/h. The risk is rain, landslips on the Pacific Harbour side, and night-time driving on unlit sections after Korolevu. Take the run in daylight.

Is fuel available along the way?

Yes. Service stations at Nadi, Sigatoka, Korolevu, and Pacific Harbour. Most accept EFTPOS and Visa. Cash discount at BP Sigatoka if you pre-pay inside.

What if I add a scuba dive at Beqa?

Beqa Lagoon Resort runs a FJD 295 2-tank dive from Pacific Harbour. The road trip and the dive are separate products; budget for a 1-night dive package from FJD 750 with meals and transfers included.

    Best season for Coral Coast?

May–October (dry season). November–April has afternoon showers but the coast is greener and less hot. Cyclone risk Dec–March is real — check the Fiji Met Service bulletin the day before.
